Seoul National University (SNU) is widely regarded as South Korea’s premier national university, emblematic of academic excellence. Established in 1946 through the amalgamation of ten institutions, SNU has grown into a flagship research university. Its Latin motto Veritas Lux Mea (“Truth is My Light”) reflects its dedication to knowledge and integrity.

SNU comprises 16 colleges, a graduate school, and multiple professional schools, offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. It is particularly strong in research, with many research institutes, labs, and a large faculty.
