Royal Global Academy’s English Advanced Level is designed to help learners communicate with near-fluent accuracy and confidence in professional and academic settings. It typically focuses on advanced grammar and vocabulary, clear pronunciation and natural fluency, and producing well-structured speaking and writing (presentations, discussions, reports/essays). It also emphasizes critical thinking, argumentation, and comprehension of complex texts and real-world topics.
We will cover these topics: Describing people, things, places, and everyday/professional situations clearly and precisely, instructing and giving directions/procedures step-by-step (workplace or daily life), advising and recommending solutions with reasons and expected outcomes, checking and clarifying information (confirming details, correcting misunderstandings) Paraphrasing to simplify, summarize, or restate for clarity, comparing and contrasting options, experiences, and viewpoints with clear criteria
Expressing opinions formally and informally with tone control and strong justification, Expanding and exemplifying ideas with relevant examples, mini-stories, or evidence, Persuading and convincing in discussions, proposals, negotiations, or debates, Contradicting and disagreeing diplomatically (challenging ideas without offending), Speculating about causes, consequences, and future scenarios with probability language, Expressing annoyance tactfully and professionally (complaints, boundaries, escalation), Expressing regrets and lessons learned (what you would change and why), Handling objections by responding logically and calmly, and Giving constructive feedback (praise + improvement points).
We will cover these topics: Nuanced contradiction (agreeing partly, reframing, and dismantling arguments politely), High-stakes persuasion (pitching, influencing decisions, and closing agreements), Precision paraphrasing (capturing meaning, tone, and implications accurately), Advanced clarification (cross-examining details, detecting inconsistencies, verifying sources), Sophisticated comparing/contrasting (trade-offs, ethics, long-term impact, hidden costs), Hypothetical and counterfactual reasoning (what-if analysis, alternative histories, scenarios), Expressing emotion with control (annoyance, disappointment, regret) using subtle, natural phrasing, Diplomacy and conflict resolution (de-escalating tension and finding common ground), Defending a position under pressure (rapid responses, interruptions, follow-up questions), and Using rhetoric naturally (emphasis, framing, irony, understatement, idioms where appropriate)
